I was so lucky to see Bowie on the Heathen tour from which this vid came. I wasn’t at this particular gig. but Bowie excellent. I am amusuc fan per se but Bowie’s passion and vocal dexterity are simply brilliant. There’s a lot of rockers I love but none match Bowie.

Absolutely great! Still tears in my eyes when I see this video. For me Heroes is Bowie’s best song ever and surely the most emotional. Every time he performs it, it’s different, but always beautiful. It’s obvious for him it’s really emotional to perform it live in a FREE Berlin, where the wall is broken down. And with hundreds of thousands free Berliners watching him.

Nobody has more class and is aging with more dignity than Bowie, young at heart. We could be heroes just for one day. Loved Bowie since I was a young teenager and that hasn’t change a single bit. Never will.

This is a great song. I like other versions of it, ‘The Wallflowers’ for example, but this has got to be the best. Because it sounds like he means it.

Christ, what an awesome performance and version of ‘Heroes’. ‘We can be heroes, just for one day’, always lingered in my mind ever since the album was released & reminded me of another famous line in popmusic’s history: ‘Am feeling so good, feeling so fine, untill tomorrow but that’s just another time’. (also just 4 one day)
