@MrMajorTime If you want to understand the Serious Moonlight you need to go out bush where theres no cars, lights or buildings for miles. And at The FullMoon Dance and Make Music Just like the Aborigines did – Then and Only Then will you Grasp the Understanding of Serious MoonLight.

Love the song. But the video is just that: a perfect example of a piece of bulls*** commercial publicity that doesn’t measure up to the music, and remains a MAJOR disapointment, denoting the beginning of avarice in Bowie’s career that permanently marred the memory of one of his best songs which deserved a much better treatment than this.

@MrMajorTime ROFL wisdom tells me there’s way more going on in my head than what’s in yours
If you want to understand the film clip, only Real Experience can teach you. You won’t find the answers by looking on a screen and typing on a keyboard.. But it’s only because you lack the Understanding of Aboriginal and Australian Culture and History. Aborignal Culture is passed on in Person so the only way you will ever truly understand it is to be adopted by an Aboriginal Family.

Legendary.

I took a quiz to see what Bowie song described me best. This was the result, but judging by my current hairdo (a red mullet) I say that was a fail. LMAO

@MrMajorTime You clearly lack of Understanding…. There’s a Story being told in this FilmClip. And its a meaningful one. A very Powerful meaningful Story.

@MrMajorTime Lol – you couldn’t be more further from the Truth.
February 4th, 2012 at 7:55 am
Back when music videos had no meaning…..I guess that applies today

This video sure brings back memories of a better time in our country. Time was when music was music.

1:47 Epic Chief Bowie is epic.

@chuck225353 He also owned it at pop. Not this song particulary, but listen to most of his late 70′s and 80′s songs, most of the lyrics are about social concern topics.
February 7th, 2012 at 5:08 pm
@KentFamily777 Lol all you want (the sound of crickets are chirping around you). Can you describe the “very powerful meaningful story” you’ve discovered? Maybe its from Walkabout 1971 by Nicolas Roeg that this quickly dashed out video “borrows” its inspiration from? Rejecting the “evil” corrupting trappings of modern culture while raking in the proceeds reveals hypocrisy. Canutti: If you can’t spot a piece of bulls*** commercial publicity when you hear it, you’re even more naive than I thought.

@MrMajorTime This Song and Video has Significant meaning for Australian Aboriginal People. But, don’t worry, I understand if you don’t get it

Shameless attempt at punk by a guy who should have stayed with what he did well, glam rock!
