As Oscar Wilde once says, Charity does much more harm than good.
It’s so absurdly vulgar that celebrities nowadays seem to use charity as an advertisement, as a way to attract more attention. I guess their ultimate scheme is that they denote some money privately and hope the media find that out, isn’t it?

This was a great cause!! In a similar effort, UC Berkeley DM is trying to raise money to help combat AIDS-infected births in Africa. A vid like this for our event would be greatly appreciated. like this to get the word out!

This brings more attention than awareness. Awareness would be to STAY on Twitter and posts links on where to donate. This whole thing was stupid anyways since 1 person donated half a million. All of them could have donated 20 million themselves

I think that this was a creative idea. I’m not sure why all these posts are so negative. They are all focusing on the “celebrities” that have participated in this event, andhow much money they have, and how much they could be donating. Instead of wasting your time posting comments that criticize someone who is doing something to try to raise awareness, think about how much you have or could do to help.

you know what people fail to realize is that Justin does donate and is helping promote awareness by throwing concerts and doing videos like this. though the concept could be misunderstood in so many ways, it’s simply to show awareness and encourage people to help donate to a cause in finding the cure. if everyone would get their heads out of their ass maybe they would stop seeing the negativity in NOTHING.

@xxsallyf18xx well thats really good and shows that he does want to raise money; dont get me wrong I think Justin is an amazing artist, but I simply had a problem with this concept of asking the public to buy justins twitter back, it shows no thought for actually fighting AIDs and lacks effort.

Find a cause that you are passionate about. This project generates a response that (whether people donate or not) is much wider spread then if these “celebrities” where to just quietly donate. (although I’m sure many have)
