www.musicthing.co.uk Here’s where the samples on some of my favourite Daft Punk tracks came from. It’s all legit, paid in full, above board. Still strange to hear, though. The samples were spotted by http and the music was collected by palmsout.blogspot.com I just did the video editing. www.musicthing.co.uk

Sampling can be good if mixed creatively and NOT making your song shitty so people who like the original song don’t get pissed off. Daft Punk succeed at both of these!

@LAGOZY Actually, french house can be done without sampling, but its not really common, i mean, if the musician knows how to recreate disco, funk or new wave in the computer.

  3. DrummTrip44 Says:

@takeshiShudo check out Madeon, for french house without samples.

Every Artist Today Copies Older Generations of Artists. It’s called evolution :3

  5. VSTTutorials Says:

@DrummTrip44 Um, If you look up Madeon the first song you might come across is
“Pop Culture” which is 39 different songs being sampled at once.

I know he has some original stuff too, but you kinda have to know what to look for.

  6. DrummTrip44 Says:

@VSTTutorials i know Pop Culture is sampled from 39 songs. I’m not an idiot. But he also has publicly said that he does not use samples in his original tracks.

@LAGOZY you’re right, look at the prodigy and their “smack my bitch up” -> totally new song, amazing creativity, daft and prodigy rock :)

Doesn’t really matter, the originals of these samples sound terrible and I wouldnt have never heard them if it wasn’t for daft punk. So thank you DP, you just made 3 or 4 nobody bands into a dance/techno classic

  11. n00g75 Says:

@Goldbloodeddragon right the sampling aint hard .. but its hard to find the right sample and see the potential in em !

  12. DiegoExclamation Says:

WHATEVER!!! Daft Punk made it sound BETTER!!!!!!

  13. BlackNinjaWarrior10 Says:

@LAGOZY Your Right Bro Sampling is a big part within the music industry everyone has done it even the artist that we listen to now sample you just have to get permission to use it and pay the person who originally created the song back for using their work everyone who say that sampling is stupid the go to hell thumbs up if anyone agree’s with me!!!! Daft Punk Is The Best!!!!!!!!

  14. USERNAMEKLEMPTOR Says:

keep pressing 7 and he’ll keep saying superheroes

  15. VSTTutorials Says:

@DrummTrip44 I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like you were an idiot or anything.

I actually was told the exact same thing about looking up Madeon, but I found it hard to find some of his originals (at first) that weren’t remixes. now that I have, I think he’s great. That’s all I meant :)

  16. takeshiShudo Says:

@LAGOZY actually, french house can be made without sampling. its just really uncommon, but if an artis knows how to make funk or disco music by computer, can also make french house without sampling.
